Transducability and Scalability of Open Learning Resources in Mechanics
Moderator: Melanie Meyers
Presenters: Agnes d'Entremont (UBC), Jennifer Kirkey (Douglas College), Matthew Koebel, Ralph Pascual
Stream: Scalability
Problem-solving is key to learning classical mechanics, but open problems are rare, because mechanics problems are resource-intensive to create. We will discuss how the transducability (conversion between forms or uses) and scalability of mechanics problems created through an ongoing project increase their utility and decrease the barriers to potential problem contributors.
