Discover how easy it is to make an interactive, educational 3D digital model! 3D digital models offer diverse and engaging learning opportunities, bringing an accessible experience to students.This hands-on session will empower participants to scan an object and create a 3D digital model with an app on their cell phone. UBC Studios Producer Michael Sider and Media Specialist Andrew Wang will demonstrate scanning, and support participants in scanning their own models. Pedagogical opportunities and challenges of 3D digital models will be explored, and existing examples will be shared. Participants who wish to create their own virtual tour during the workshop will need to bring their own recent iphone or android phone (up to 4 years old) and be willing to download a third party app. This workshop is facilitated by UBC Studios – ubcstudios.ubc.ca
