FLO Friday: Co-Creating Your Classroom – Building Agency, Inclusion and Belonging from Day One

In this one-hour FLO webinar, we will explore how early course design can foster student agency, trust, and belonging. The session will focus on practical ways educators can learn about and from students, surface hidden barriers, and co-create shared expectations for participation.
Using examples and guided planning, participants will consider how simple tools such as welcome surveys, first-week reflection prompts, and collaborative norm-setting activities can help students feel seen while giving educators useful insight into their students.
These strategies can be adapted for online, blended, or in-person contexts.
